My Recovery Rx
When treating a patient who is recovering from an addiction, it is important to treat the entire patient and not just the addiction. This may result in better recovery success rates and greater patient acceptance and adherence. Unfortunately, some medications, although prescribed for a legitimate reason, have a potential for abuse or addiction which can be detrimental in a patient’s recovery process. SAFE: evidence indicating this drug is safe to use in patients in recovery.
