The Cracked Pot: January 2015
http://gfornicoia.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 1, 2015. Goodbye 2014, Hello 2015. 2014 was not my friend. I've made some choices and people I love have made choices this past year that have affected me and have left me wounded and broken. Let me be clear, my own bad choices are most distressing to me. As the year comes to a close, I am hopeful that 2015 can be a year of redemption, new opportunities and incredible spiritual growth. I have read this verse in 2 different places recently and feel very strongly about the truth in it.

The Cracked Pot: Get the Plank Out!
http://gfornicoia.blogspot.com/2010/11/get-plank-out.html
Wednesday, November 3, 2010. Get the Plank Out! The next morning, I read the patient chart. He was a newly diagnosed diabetic who had suffered a diabetic shock (ketoacidosis) while driving. He was a newlywed with a beautiful wife. He was a nice young man who had the misfortune of having a medical emergency while driving and as a result, his life would never be the same. You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye. At times...

The Cracked Pot: Mean People
http://gfornicoia.blogspot.com/2011/10/mean-people.html
Tuesday, October 18, 2011. My son Sterling is currently performing in a production called MEAN, which "serves as a powerful tool to raise awareness on the issue of bullying and highlight the harm that it can cause.". But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. I read this verse over and over again. It is what is asked of us but that certainly doesn't make it easy. I am feeling committed to pray for those who persecute my children and the children in my community, it ma...I'm a...

Home Sweet School: December 2010
http://homesweetschools.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 29, 2010. I have added shameless. Because I will shamelessly parade the photos I love of our family! Our pictures are like our life right now: blurry at times, mostly imperfect with lots of movement! I love how they hug in every picture but fight every minute! The perfect family picture illuded us (as it should! Cohen's 1st Choir performance. My Christmas apron from Mummy Nuggle? I made these clip boards as gifts for my students and friends. I got this idea from here! I mean come on!

Home Sweet School: Eating Our Words
http://homesweetschools.blogspot.com/2010/12/eating-our-words.html
Friday, December 10, 2010. My first time using margarine for a baking recipe! They were trying to taste the cocoa powder that was floating in the air! The mark of a good cookie. When we made cookies we were going to give some to someone else.". The eyes were always on the prize! We packaged them up for our neighbours. Hope they like them as much as we did! Note: Swimming did not go so well later in the evening due to the high sugar intake! You can't have your cookie and eat it too!

Home Sweet School: October 2010

Thursday, October 28, 2010. Falling In and Wrapping Up. Fall is the spot between the rock and a hard place for me. I enjoy the beautiful oranges, reds and yellows it produces but hate what it arrival signals- the end of summer. More importantly preparation for icy cold cheeks, boots, and bulky jackets have me looking less than pleased. Fall reminds me that no matter where we are as a family you can usually find us where there is a hope of a little orange infused ray. Staying on top of my laundry- Again!

The Cracked Pot: Women Mentoring other Women and Why it is an Absolute Necessity
http://gfornicoia.blogspot.com/2014/08/women-mentoring-other-women-and-why-it.html
Thursday, August 28, 2014. Women Mentoring other Women and Why it is an Absolute Necessity. Recently I responded to a group question from Holley Armstrong Gerth, a popular Christian author, speaker and blogger. Her question was "What is the biggest need you see in women's ministry today? I watched my response to Holley's question get many likes and start many conversations about the need for mentoring. What is it that makes me so afraid to nurture other moms? Gina, your timing with this is perfect. J...

The Cracked Pot: September 2014
http://gfornicoia.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 10, 2014. I am currently in the midst of a pain that is deep and heart wrenching. When I think about it and look at my own family and even things I see on facebook, I know I am not alone. That's not what I want to talk about though. I want to talk about something God has taught me over the past two years; Pain is inevitable. In one area of my life, there is great beauty and in another area there is great pain. It's been important for me to learn because with six children, there i...
