Sunday, October 5, 2014. What I learned in completing my Run United 2014 21K trilogy. Early today, I completed my Run United Trilogy of 21k races at Mall of Asia in Pasay City. I considered the feat as a huge accomplishment in my amateur running career. As they say, Finish, finish lang. The blue medal you can see in the photo above was the first of the three medals I collected in completing in the trilogy. The red medal was the second and this morning I received the white medal. About me - MyRunningBlog
My name is Alistair Munro. I have always run and where I lack genetically in speed I make up in enthusiasm and motivation. I am not an expert and so the musings contained in this blog should be taken with a pinch of salt. Is it possible for humans to evolve in the space of a generation to require high heeled run shoes with complex stability and cushioning systems? Are sports drinks and run nutrition that are not remotely like normal food really as good as we are told? You have a foot size, not shoe size!
Never Give Up | Trying To Stay True To The Title Of This Blog
Trying To Stay True To The Title Of This Blog. Posted by: Jason Sheffstall. January 19, 2008. Whew…I’m Glad That Is Over. I worked out today with Shane Suiter. Shane has been running for about seven years! He kicked my tail today! I ran a mile without stopping (insert breathing really hard here). :). After the first mile, I decided that I was going to do two more miles today, that is, I walked another mile and a half, and jogged the other half (but not all at once). Let’s not get too excited! Today, afte...
Running Buddies
Let us run with endurance the race set before us. (Heb 12:1-2). Tuesday, October 26, 2010. My littlest running buddy. This is my littlest running buddy (a.k.a. my son, Jaron). His training wheels came off in July and he has been riding his bike almost every day since. He especially loves to ride next to me while I run. I especially love this too! For one, it allows me to get a little workout in during the day, before hubby and big sis get home. For two, I allows me to be. Right next to him. 3) When searc...

My running challenges | Everyone has a limit. But not everyone finds it.
Everyone has a limit. But not everyone finds it. Raising money for Clic Sargent. There could be no finer site for my parkrun debut. March 7, 2014. I had not heard of parkrun until I read about it in a magazine about a year ago (don’t forget I’ve only been running for 2 years). Unfortunately due to work and family I had not previously taken part in my (then) local parkrun in Harrogate. Last Saturday saw the… Read more. Building fitness for the year ahead. February 24, 2014. My Running Chronicle
Stop Taking Strolls in Life, RUN. Sunday, December 11, 2011. My Virgin 42.195 - Fur Elise. The Bridge I need to cross and come back. To most people, 42.195 may not mean anything. To a runner, 42.195 is a benchmark. It is a distance a runner has to endure to cross the line from a runner to a marathoner. 8221; and every few weeks we would randomly exclaim “We are going to die! 8221; The frequency of this kind of monologue and dialogue increased as the days drew closer to November. The Band of TRAFFFFians a...

My Little World
A place to put all of my random life commentary. Friday, August 25, 2006. I was forwarded an email yesterday from a colleague listing funny office pranks and their accompanying point value should you want to compete with another colleague. Being a person that savors humor and especially tries to relish in the absurdities that occur in an office, I thought I would post the pranks for your amusement or to attempt on some hapless other employee.or perhaps your boss. 6) Walk sideways to the photocopier.
