My Salvaged Home: April 2013
http://mysalvagedhome.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 10, 2013. The Stuff I Don't Know What To Do With. With a tiny bit of work it became this! Here's the problem, I have a few things sitting in the basement and I still need a little inspiration. I suppose some of them could just be quirky home decor items that haven't found the right place yet, but really, most of these need a little creativity. Things like these:. Vintage fabric from Hawaii. 4 Green, Vintage Metal Drawers. Yep, that's some pretty random stuff, huh? Friday, April 5, 2013.
My Salvaged Home: How to Whitewash Wood
http://mysalvagedhome.blogspot.com/2013/03/how-to-whitewash-wood.html
Tuesday, March 19, 2013. How to Whitewash Wood. I have a new favorite thing. Yes, I have a tendency to get slightly obsessed with something for a short time and overload on it. Usually it's cheese fries or ice cream, but this week, it's the super simple DIY technique of whitewashing. Maybe you have noticed my past two projects involved an element of it? Once you build up the layers to the desired finish you may want to very lightly sand with 150 grit sandpaper over the surface to smooth out any rough spo...
My Salvaged Home: DIY: Turn A Cotton Dress into an Apron
http://mysalvagedhome.blogspot.com/2013/09/diy-turn-cotton-dress-into-apron.html
Tuesday, September 17, 2013. DIY: Turn A Cotton Dress into an Apron. The first thing I did was cut out the zipper so the dress could open up and lay flat. Fold under all raw edges and pin. Pin Pin Pin. Honestly, the pinning took more time than anything else. It was all pretty simple. Remove the extra "flap" on the back. Fold under the raw edges and pin all the way down the long seam for the back. Seriously, you are already done! Now it's time to bake homemade cookies in a cute new apron. I am a studio me...
My Salvaged Home: How To Reupholster an Antique Chair
http://mysalvagedhome.blogspot.com/2013/03/my-first-reupholstering-project.html
Saturday, March 9, 2013. How To Reupholster an Antique Chair. I loved the results of this reupholstered chair so much, I just had to talk about it! One of my favorite things is hitting up garage sales and thrift stores because you just never know what you are going to find. It feels like treasure hunting and it makes my heart race when I lock eyes with that perfect new "thing" I just have to have. Enter stage left: this garage sale beauty. The second layer of padding in this chair was actually horse hair!

my sweet surrender | KEEP OFF, STRANGER
KEEP OFF, STRANGER. Thursday, April 3, 2014. I have so much anger in me today I need to rant before I implode! 1) Please get it clear, I’ve NEVER relied on you since the day I stepped into this industry! 2) I do not owe you anything. 3) When I was in trouble, the ones who helped me out is NEVER you! 4) I’m the one who helped you in your shittiest times! 5) Whatever I do is NEVER good enough, but thank you because that always motivates to prove you wrong! Monday, December 16, 2013. It just made me realise...
