Matt's Samoa Blog: Paul and Bex's Wedding
http://www.diplomatt.org/2013/09/paul-and-bexs-wedding.html
Friday, September 20, 2013. Paul and Bex's Wedding. The impetus for this trip was Paul's Wedding, which was today, and Jim's wedding, which is next weekend. Rather than writing out an entire post about all this, I'm going to enjoy the festivities and leave you with some pictures from today's events. The wedding was held at the Tofua trench on the south side of Upolu. I hope you're well. All of the wedding's guests rode a Samoan bus from Apia to Tofua. Dan, Blakey, AJ, and Chris. Karen / Dave 83.

Matt's Samoa Blog: 15 Hours in Fiji
http://www.diplomatt.org/2013/09/15-hours-in-fiji.html
Monday, September 16, 2013. 15 Hours in Fiji. On the other hand, the day was enlightening. First of all, what better way to get a taste of a new place than by driving 90 miles through its countryside? I saw a whole lotta Fiji today, granted from an air-conditioned bus. But the bus was travelling at 18 mph, on average. Finally, the 9 hours on the bus allowed for some quiet contemplation. I hope you’re well. Pictures below. I saw this orange house on the road. I liked it. The open-air market in Suva. You a...

No I Didn't Use Spellcheck. Lillian's adventures in the Peace Corps. Subscribe To Lillian's Adventures in Samoa. Friday, December 21, 2012. Cyclone Evan Day 3. Cyclone Evan Day 3. We endured blisters, but had as much fun as we could as the Peace Corps office became a giant messy Slip N Slide for the day. Bathed us, was able to go in our toilets and used for everything, aside from drinking of course. We had several buckets that I would fill and then call up to my husband to come and bring the water to...

Turkey Creek Yacht Club. Ramblings of a mature mind. 4 October 1957 →. August 24, 2011. The stream of consciousness starts now:. Who wants to see a rainbow in black and white? Might work well for highwaymen and FedEx delivery persons; but not so much for pregnant women. We know why the grass is green. The sky is blue [or pink if you are on Mars], and the birds sing. Does anything else really matter all that much? No, I do not like. How in the world. Can Quiet sometimes be so LOUD? It may be true. That Me...

Thoughts of a Third Culture Kid with a Nomad spirit. With a mere 3 weeks left until my last day of work at my current company, plans are afoot to get the dusty boots out of my closet. Tickets have been bought, my backpack has been taken out of the garage and my mind is cluttered with the many concerns of managing so many lives in preparation of embarking on a new one. But the madness and adventure does not end there! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public).

Thoughts of a Third Culture Kid with a Nomad spirit. So I know it has been a while since I posted, not that I think anyone reads this, but if you do.sorry for the absence. I had surgery on my foot this month. I was all excited. What would my drug addled mind conjure up? Friends told me of their ability to speak languages fluently, that normally are difficult; of their continuous insistence on telling the anesthesiologist he was hot. What do I get? It has been an epic two months of travel. It has been a w...
