It is commonly thought that GM Holden gained inspiration for the HQ-HJ stripes from the Pontiac Judge whatever the case the HQ and HJ striping were still a huge 'look at me' status on the roads at the time. The HQ and HJ Sandman Stripes. Came in two types a black set and white, and the decal set included the following items;. B Pillar 'Sandman' logo. HQ GTS Monaro 10/1973. Saturday, September 17, 2011. Radiator support complete. Once the sand blasting was done slight rust pin holes appeared on the battery side. Luckily very easy repair. Also of interest to restorer's that want's there work to last is the axsess holes in the radiator support at the bottom.
