The secretaries got waaay fewer calls and e-mails and the teachers really liked being able to track who was signing up. Last year, we advocated voting NO to a nearly 10% tax hike because it was just too much. This year's budget is a different story. While we advocate a stable long-term approach to budgeting that would avoid increases over 2% annually, we support the 2014-15 budget as a bridge to allow our School Board time to take implement a sustainable, 3-5 year plan. The fact is, this year’s budget is still over $700,000 less than last year’s failed budget, yet all sports and extra-curriculars are funded. What Can I Do?
