#reality check – write brain widow
https://writebrainwidow.blog/2017/01/11/reality-check
Love loss. . . life. January 11, 2017. But in a way, I was back – into the world of couple dinners, grandparental team babysitting nights, movies for four and parties for many and I was more than happy. I never really was the blithe divorcee anyway. (‘blithe’seriously? I had returned to where I began, peacefully curled up with hubby at home. And I was content. If I would’ve known the way that this would end. If I would’ve read the last page first. If I would’ve had the strength to walk away. January 11, ...

Love loss. . . life. January 4, 2017. Moving ahead; Looking back. They’ say those who’ve gone are still very much present to us; we just can’t see them. Hello? I’m a visual person, not a ouiji board! Maybe I’m just whistling in the new year dark, hoping that our absent loved ones really are by our side. But, hey, we need all the help we can get. This entry was tagged death. In one year and out the other. Reality check →. One thought on “ Moving ahead; Looking back. January 5, 2017 at 2:58 pm. View Full P...

reality – write brain widow

Love loss. . . life. January 24, 2017. Across the GREAT Divide. History is a funny thing. Depending on the glasses it’s viewed with, the past is either chock full of not so great things or colored with a romantically soft blur. Me? I think it’s a little of both. History is life, with all its ups and downs, no matter how we’d like to retouch it. Graphic designers like me are cool with that kind of artistic license but history needs no retouched brand marketing. It is what it is. I’m in advertising. I ...

Love loss. . . life. December 20, 2016. HimsELF. . . on a shelf. Does that red-suited, creepily cheerful holiday imp visit your house each Christmas? Elf on the Shelf. June 14, 2016. A rainbow of grief. Her son did not survive. Are available at ANY level especially for the unstable, violent or disenfranchised. The time has come to listen for truth within the rhetoric and for more than tears and talk. I can only hope it is now. Sometimes your heart needs more time to accept what your mind already knows.

Love loss. . . life. December 29, 2016. In one year and out the other. Confetti and noisemakers are so yesterday. Seriously, my husband and I never did the expected New Year’s Eve frolic. We were either too lazy to do the whole dress up/party down scene, or thought our own couch, movies and snacks more closely equalled ‘cozy’ over ‘crazy’. Either way, we did New Year’s Eve our way. When they’re not, even New Year’s Eve is just another night. November 18, 2016. We’re Bigger Than This. Blogs that inspire me.

Sunday, September 23, 2012. Thanks so much, everyone, for your suggestions about names! Why on earth is coming up with a blog name so darned hard? It's just one silly little URL! In the end, I did my best to stop overthinking it and went with a variation (the only one I could find available) from a poem that has recently (re)caught my fancy. I hit Google a few weeks back to find the words for a different e.e. cummings poem, but one of the top hits. For life's not a paragraph. 169; Grove Weidenfeld, 1994.
