Saturday, July 26, 2014. David was so excited to compete in the Centre Region Parks Triathlon. He skipped over to the pool to get started on the race. He had no nerves, just excitement. Monday, May 27, 2013. Memorial Day and Devon. We had a fun Memorial Day weekend with Grammy Jill. The boys especially enjoyed a soak in her hot tub. The water was the perfect temperature. They splashed around and played games. We had some fooling around at the horse show in the stables. The boys tried to lock Paul in a stable after I asked them to get inside for a picture. They had other ideas. On Monday we got to see cousins Heather and Amanda and Uncle Peter and Aunt Gloria for a picnic.

Thursday, September 27, 2012. Ryan's Preschool Open House. We visited Ryan's preschool tonight. We met with his morning teachers, Mrs. Wylie and Miss Tania. He loves Mrs. Wylie because "she is silly and teaches the class silly songs.". His favorite part of the room is the castle and knight area. He loves playing here during his free time. Saturday, September 22, 2012. Penn State Football with Cousins. We lucked out with no rain and were able to toss the football and enjoy our tailgate before the game.

Monday, December 31, 2012. We spent a quiet New Year's Eve at home this year. The boys spent most of the day playing outside and tiring themselves out. They were determined to stay up until midnight. They fought some jedi battles while we waited for the clock to strike midnight. Both very tired boys made it to midnight this year! They were so happy to go to bed at 12:01 am! Saturday, December 29, 2012. They pounded the snow down to make a hard base and then poured the water. . . . The boys all loved it!

Thursday, November 29, 2012. Tuesday, November 27, 2012. Ryan picked Wegmans with Daddy for lunch on his birthday. He loves the lo mein noodles, rice, and chicken with broccoli. Ryan also got to pick dinner that night. He requested brown bread from Outback and chicken noodle soup from Hoss's. He got both! We had no idea the number of lego pieces would be an issue. . . Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Trick or Treat night was cold and rainy, but the boys didn't mind. Ryan dressed up as a Jedi and David dressed up as Darth Maul. Sunday, March 31, 2013. The boys woke up at 6:00 am on Easter morning. We managed to keep them in their room until 6:45 am They came down the stairs carrying flowers and cards for me. So sweet! Ryan was particularly proud of all the bunnies he drew on his card. It was adorable. Ryan picked out a red gerber daisy for me and David picked out a yellow daffodil. They ran around the yard filling their baskets with eggs! Yummy Dinner and then more fun with cousins. Saturday, March 30, 2013. You can do this!

Thursday, May 30, 2013. Cooling Off with the Sprinkler. We had a 90 degree day on Thursday. I wanted to cut the grass early, before it got too hot. I told Ryan I would turn the sprinkler on as soon as half the yard was cut. He waited patiently and enjoyed a popsicle while I mowed. It was so hot, even at 9 am! We had the sprinkler on by 10 and Ryan and Twix LOVED it! They played while I finished the backyard and the front yard. They were both exhausted and soaked by the time we were done with the yard.

Tuesday, August 28, 2012. First Day of School. This morning was David's first day of First Grade! He was very excited. He picked out his navy blue shirt last night after reviewing three other choices. He wanted a shirt with a collar so he would look "handsome" for his first day. He also requested that I clean his sneakers so they were white on the edges. And he brushed his teeth this morning. (That's a pretty Big Deal and highly unusual in the morning.).
