When I originally started this blog, I was told by my ENT that he suspected I had spasmodic dysphonia. My subsequent posts up through Tuesday, February 21, 2012 reflect that diagnosis. Though, I had an appointment with a specialist at the Cleveland Clinic who diagnosed me with Muscle Tension Dysphonia. The fact that my voice responded to the massage, further points to muscle tension dysphonia.

Mostly downs, unfortunately, but hopefully on the up-swing now. As I type this, on August 30th, I still do not have a full voice back yet. It’s getting better, but still probably only 50% at this point with NO ability to speak up in a loud environment…I might as well not try in those situations. Here’s a link.
