If you are lucky enough to have taken the animal yourself, remove the liver and cool quickly. Fresh snow works great when you are hunting. Secret #2 - Slice thinly - about 1/8 " thick. Cut out or around any major veins. Secret #3 - Cook in bacon grease after sauteing some onions and peppers. Save the bacon to dice up later and mix with the cooked liver.

For example, the kids are asking for cheeseburgers and you immediately dread the cyclop stare of a lonely bunless burger staring up at you from your plate. My solution is to reserve some ground meat to cook loosely and serve with a plate of sauteed veggies and greens. Very filling and nourishing - try it and see. 4 large mustard greens.
