pieces of me...: Weekend
http://heathervinson.blogspot.com/2015/02/weekend.html
Sunday, February 22, 2015. Greetings from a 60 degree day where almost all the snow has melted and two children are very sad. Our weekend was filled with the usual Friday afternoon soccer conditioning at Next Level, dinner out with friends' family (son also taking lessons with Next Level) and an attempt to watch our Friday night date of a week's worth of Daily Shows didn't last into the first episode until I was snoring. pieces of me...: What happens when you conspire with spouses and children to plan 40th birthday parties
http://heathervinson.blogspot.com/2015/02/what-happens-when-you-conspire-with.html
Friday, February 27, 2015. What happens when you conspire with spouses and children to plan 40th birthday parties. So I started thinking if I was to plan something what would he want? I consulted two groups: 1. the spouses of some of his guy friends 2. Ben and Ian (obviously this was now going to be two separate celebrations.). What was the result? The handwriting on the card kills me and begs of V boy sweetness. Posted by heather v. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Overdue to Read More in 2014. Greet...

pieces of me...: September 2014
http://heathervinson.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 8, 2014. Let's call the Cary Fire Deptment, shall we? I've fallen off the blog wagon in August due to trips, teacher workdays, and then school starting. I feel like we started the year as a sprint and not the marathon that it is to make it to June. Alas, what went down this weekend other than almost 10 hours logged between Friday night and last night at close to midnight grading a copy paper box filled to the brim with papers? How about this around 11 pm on Saturday night? The town offe...

Wednesday, April 30, 2014. Tornadoes by Ben, age 7 3/4. I'm going to line up all my favorite stuffed animals to keep them safe from the tornadoes. Ben, age almost 8. How many of my animals can I take with me? I'll leave some behind to take care of the other toys? Good thoughts to those already impacted by this large storm and those in it's way. pieces of me...: Almost Wordless Wednesday
http://heathervinson.blogspot.com/2015/02/almost-wordless-wednesday.html
Wednesday, February 4, 2015. Overhead last night while going over homework:. Ben: I need a biography to use for our class wax museum. Mom: Do you want to use the "Kid President" book you like so much? Ben: I read the one about Roosevelt, the one that killed a bear, not the one during WWII. Mom: you mean Teddy not Franklin. Ben: Yeah, my book said he was famous for saying, " speak softly and carry a big stick". Does this mean I can take a stick to school from our yard *or collection in the garage*. Overdu...

Always classic: white & denim. Asymp; Leave a comment. A picture is worth a thousand words, right? Well, this picture reveals one of the reasons I took a break from blogging. White shirt (Motherhood), jeans (Old Navy), necklace (Premier jewelry), fabric flats (Target). Hop on over to The Pleated Poppy. Where I’m joining the WIWW link party. It’s always fun to see what the rest of the blogosphere is wearing! Get growing at home. Asymp; Leave a comment. Moving indoors, I wanted to add a little green to my ...

pieces of me...: March 2014
http://heathervinson.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 31, 2014. Wrap It Up- March 2014. Bill and the boys will be home soon after their long weekend trip to Atlanta. I didn't want to post I was home alone all weekend, but was it super awesome to be in a quiet house with no one to take care of for 72 hours. I contribute my days of child-free livin' for serious productivity. What went down in March? More snow days bringing the total to 9 for this academic year. If we have snow in April, plan on Armageddon. Began soccer for both boys. Ready for s...

pieces of me...: August 2014
http://heathervinson.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 27, 2014. Really, Ben can't be old enough to be using a daily agenda, tabs, and keeping a notebook. Yay to more responsibility. Boo to kids getting older! Posted by heather v. 1st Day of School. A good summer, wait a GREAT summer given for the first time ever I didn't teach online or write test items on contract. Frankly, I don't see how I would have had time! Hence, this is our official back to school picture for 2014. They told me we should pose shirtless, myself included. Nope. My hi...
