Sunlaker Journal: November 2006
http://sunlaker.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 30, 2006. I redid my home page for my sunlaker.com. Web site. It is now more compact, and I reduced some of the wordiness on the entry page. I keep thinking that I will redesign the other pages sometime, but I really doubt it. I will do new pages and those will have new looks. That would be more fun. Tuesday, June 27, 2006. Posted by sunlaker @ 7:56 PM. Monday, June 26, 2006. Google's Terms of Service. Sometimes organizations take their terms of service to an extreme, but I have never seen it phrased quite like Google did for their new Picasa Photos on the Web service. I thought you might get a kick out of this. Google's terms of service included the following. Posted by sunlaker @ 12:19 PM. The photo sharing works a lot like Flickr, but the huge added benefit here is that it also helps you find your...

Sunlaker Journal: May 2007

Wednesday, May 09, 2007. This photo was uploaded during a demonstration for our Computer Booters club in Sun Lakes, AZ. I located the image on my computer using Picasa, and then used the Picasa link to Blogger to upload this to my personal blog. It takes no time at all, and shows how advanced Google is becoming with the interlinking of their software. Posted by sunlaker @ 7:52 PM. Monday, May 07, 2007. Sunday, August 13, 2006. New TV on Order. I will see what the TV is like next Wednesday. Posted by sunlaker @ 10:41 AM. Wednesday, August 02, 2006. I took in the SUV yesterday morning and had the oil changed, and the tires rotated and balanced. While they were working on the SUV I took a rental car and ran to my doctor's office and picked up my allergy drops. Cool stuff. You don't have to get shots. Just put a few drops in your mouth twice a week. Posted by sunlaker @ 11:00 AM. The Tech from our cable co...

Sunlaker Journal: January 2007

Saturday, January 27, 2007. I need to do a test to see how and in what order photos load into this blog. Both were added after I typed the first sentence. The bottom photo was loaded first, center position, small. The upper photo was added second, center position, small. It is hard to tell the order unless there is a clearer explanation. Posted by sunlaker @ 7:03 PM. Sunday, January 21, 2007. The Los Angeles Times and Aviation Week and Space Technology reported that the Chinese government launched a sate...

Sunday, October 21, 2007. My wife's mother passed away last Friday, October 19, 2007. She died in the arms of her son in a hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She fought a valiant 2-year battle against dementia, but in the end it was her heart that gave out. Madge was a gracious wife, mother, grandmother, and most importantly (to me) a gracious mother-in-law. Posted by sunlaker @ 2:58 PM. Monday, October 15, 2007. Class of 57 Reunion. The reunion was well organized, including it's own web site. This ...

Thursday, December 07, 2006. Jury Dury - Phoenix Style. My particular trial lasted 3 days, and fortunately all the other jurors were open minded and fair when considering the testimonies and the charges. The jury verdict was irrelevant to my comments here. What impressed me the most were the organizational skills required by the Clerk of the Court in Maricopa County (and that office) to run this kind of pool selection process day after day. This was an interesting lesson in community service.
