Cooking in Nana's Kitchen: All-American Stew
http://susan-grandmaskitchen.blogspot.com/2010/04/all-american-stew.html
Thursday, April 29, 2010. I thought I would use the slow cooker for this. Scott loves foods cooked in a slow cooker. I prefer either stovetop or even oven cooked. Guess I was in a good mood because I was making food the way he likes. Okay, about an hour before dinner, I checked on the stew. It was watery, the veggies weren’t cooking, and I was getting frustrated over the pets being little devils all day. So I just dumped it all into a Dutch oven and brought it to a boil and voila, stew! 189; cup red wine.

Potpourri: January 2012
http://susan-potpouri.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
A little of this, A little of that, mixed altogether to make my life. Friday, January 6, 2012. How am I Doing? You might ask. I am doing pretty fine today, thank you. I have many more decent days than horribly bad days. Still am agoraphobic, to the point I have to ask Scott to accompany me to the grocery store most of the time. The fibro pain is constant now, with excrutiating pain about every six to eight weeks lasting for about two weeks. Yet all in all, things are looking up right now. I am a Horticul...

Potpourri: I am Back
http://susan-potpouri.blogspot.com/2010/11/i-am-back.html
A little of this, A little of that, mixed altogether to make my life. Friday, November 5, 2010. Yes I am finally back to blogging. Moving was quite a chore and more disruptive than I thought it would be. Add to that, I have been hit HARD by IBS and only now getting back to a more normal, normally regular. It's just that the stores are at least 50% bigger than the ones we used to shop at. And that takes more time. It's nice to be back. I'll write more later! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Cooking in Nana's Kitchen: Chicken Enchiladas
http://susan-grandmaskitchen.blogspot.com/2010/05/chicken-enchiladas.html
Thursday, May 13, 2010. I used to fix Chicken Enchiladas like I do Ground Beef Enchiladas. Then, I had some really great ones at a couple of potlucks. I really enjoyed the ones served by my friend, Patty, and another friend, Dave. Theirs were served in a white sauce (thick with cream cheese) and were very, very creamy. I took down their recipes and Debbie’s delicious recipe to come up with my own Chicken Enchiladas. Which are a little more to the light side. 2 cups Chicken broth. 189; stalk celery. This ...

Cooking in Nana's Kitchen: April 2010
http://susan-grandmaskitchen.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 30, 2010. Reminder, Mother's Day is Coming! I have been reminding everyone that Mother’s Day is May 9th! Of course, it goes without saying that Moms who cook would enjoy a great Mother’s Day gift related to her kitchen. It could be a lovely breakfast in bed, brunch with the family, a picnic in the woods, or dinner at home around a family movie! I always have loved a new cookbook or an old one at that! A new set of recipe cards or a few new wooden spoons have always been appreciated. I thoug...

Potpourri: New Year
http://susan-potpouri.blogspot.com/2012/01/new-year.html
A little of this, A little of that, mixed altogether to make my life. Thursday, January 5, 2012. My resolutions are not going to be achieved anyway, so no resolutions! I am resolute in that! Our beloved Max Excellent Katt died back in September. We were so grieved. He had a heart attact and then threw a thomboisis (blood clot) that paralysised his hind end. It happened so fast. He is soaring. All mostly black cats were free! The $50 - $70 fee was waived. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). How am I Doing?
