My Two Yen Worth. Quirky observations about Life in Japan, Canada and the world at large. No Kinkajou at Kinkakuji. After a 15 year hiatus, I finally got to see Kinkakuji. 15 years ago and due to the crowds, didn't even bother with with the Golden temple. I went the day after GW. On a Monday and the darned temple was hidden behind a tarp for cleaning and restoration! This time around, I did manage to snap a few nice photos of the place and its surroundings. Sunday, February 14, 2010. I had a family gathering last weekend, and for once it felt like i'd come home. We all sat and talked and the boyfriends were there, and the dog was there. We played guitars and had an awesome dinner. I got into some strange arcane conversation with my dad about out of body experiences and the native part of our heritage. I've always felt like birds have some kind of significance, either in this life or past i'm not sure but i know there's a connection with crows and blue jays.

Monday, November 16, 2009. I wish you would put me in your suitcase. I'm so depressed im eating marshmallows, okay id be eating them anyway but whatever. I'm bored. I'm always saying this, and nothing ever happens so i'm going to do something about it. Besides they always say that being bored is a state of mind, and i am miserable. I know people who actually eat Lucky Charms have done this at least once, eat all the crunchy things and leave the freeze dried marshmallowy goodness for last. oh yes.
