My View from 30,000 Feet: Seeing Costa Concordia
http://myviewfrom30000feet.blogspot.com/2012/12/seeing-costa-concordia.html
My View from 30,000 Feet. Wednesday, December 19, 2012. After a good night's sleep at the Hotel Alfiero. I woke up early to shower, pack and get ready for the day. I stumbled into the bathroom and turned on the shower- the water barely trickled out. I adjusted the knob. And, adjusted the knob. Over and over and over. Nuthin'! I turned on the faucet with its' welcome blast of water, and could now brush my teeth with abandon! Side note: There is. Also, we wanted to store our suitcases at the hotel for our ...

My View from 30,000 Feet. Thursday, November 10, 2011. Veterans are really important in my life. SInce I've written this post, a couple more have joined the family: my newly-married daughter Casey's husband is Matt, who has been serving in the US Navy for a few years; and my baby child- my son, Chase who is in the process of testing to see where he'll land prior to raising his right hand to swear allegiance to this country in the US Navy. So, this is a post I wrote. Links to this post. Things in the Sky.
My View from 30,000 Feet: Potato chips and the Emergency Exit Row
http://myviewfrom30000feet.blogspot.com/2013/02/potato-chips-and-emergency-exit-row.html
My View from 30,000 Feet. Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Potato chips and the Emergency Exit Row. My BFF, Shelby, worked a flight yesterday. This vignette of stewardess life happened to her:. During boarding, a 20-something lady passenger came into the Shelby's galley, holding an unopened bag of potato chips. She asked, "Do you have a pair of scissors that I can open this bag with? Shelby replied, "No, ma'am, we don't have scissors onboard.". The lady continued, "Do you have a knife? My view from UP here.

My View from 30,000 Feet. Saturday, April 21, 2012. Pursers, a Prime Minister and a Puppy! Coming off the high of Recurrent training, the next day I flew a trip to the West Coast, where I worked in "the Village". The next morning, the Senior Mama decided she wanted to work in Coach on the leg back East, and I was juniored into working the aisle on a 24 seat-First Class 757. Rank does have its' privileges and I quickly learned why (and that I have none! Finally time for the dessert service came and I, ver...

My View from 30,000 Feet. Monday, March 12, 2012. As the makers of Sprite, did ya really have to go and do this? From the Flight Attendant's perspective, these cans look exactly alike! Not to mention that my bird's eye view is from the top of the can in the beverage cart. The aluminum-colored top of the can. It was bad enough when Coke did the white polar bear cans during the holidays.now this! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Disqus for My View from 30,000 Feet. Ladies – a banking career could be hazardous to your livelihood. QuickBooks vs. Peachtree →. July 17, 2011 · 11:36 am. I Wish My Bank Could P2P. While home for summer break, my 20-year old college student daughter recently made a visit to our dentist. She was slightly confused when they asked her to (gasp! Given that whole pain-in-the-rear scenario, I was very interested in a service I came across in my blog-surfing. It was about a P2P (person to person) service called POPmoney. Hub to collect the payment.

Friday, April 24, 2009. I visited the Heritage Store to get a. Peanut butter smoothie - they use all natural ingredients so your smoothie doesn't taste overly sweet. This one happened to have a carrot-flavored aftertaste - maybe they used the same blender after juicing a carrot? And while you are in there waiting for your food, you can browse through the shop. It is quite interesting - all kinds of spiritual types - I think I saw a swami and I definitely saw mother earth. Thursday, April 23, 2009. And so...

The Writing in the Sky. Bad Professions and Good Hobbies: My life as a writer and a Flight Attendant. Monday, February 9, 2009. I was just reminded that I haven't posted anything here in almost a month. Woops. Sorry. I'm sure you've all been itching in anticipation. . The reminder came from another flight attendant, Blondie, who blogs at My View From 30,000 Feet. 160;She's also on Twitter. If you're cool enough to be there, too, she's worth the follow. This is one of those stories. So it was one of ...
London Life: Hot, hot, hot!
http://ionlyflyfirst.blogspot.com/2010/01/hot-hot-hot.html
Monday, 11 January 2010. Hot, hot, hot! Ever opened the oven and had that waft of hot air heat hit you in the face? If so, you know what it was like here today – ‘down under’. The mercury hit 119 degrees today. Thankfully there was no humidity, rather a stinging, dry heat. Oven-esque, I would call it. A cool change is due tomorrow, but ‘cool’ for Australians and ‘cool’ for us Brits are two very, very different things ……. Just realised youre in Australia! Hope youre enjoying yourself! My View for my Kids – My commentary on the world, based on the strong belief that there are such things as facts
My View for my Kids. My commentary on the world, based on the strong belief that there are such things as facts. How crap are the media? On the lighter side. Just a couple of problems, Mr. Rubio. And that after the dreadful things that Trump said about his father during the primary campaign, I also thought it was good that he was willing to show up, given that Rick Scott and Trump were no-shows. And then he lost me. Do you really think we believe that? So let’s say a white supremacist group, or a r...

Over the Back Fence. Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation. Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray. My View from 30,000 Feet
Found this gem on one of our Facebook pages.I have edited it for abbreviations used:. Today I had a passenger on the LAX (Los Angeles) to LHR (London Heathrow) flight that would not let the Flight Attendant put up the bassinet for the mother with a baby that was in his row. He told the Flight Attendant "I plan to put my feet up on that wall! As the Lead Flight Attendant, I actually had to go tell him that the mother was not going to hold her infant baby in her arms for 10 hours. Bassinet on the bulkhead.
