Ouch that feels good. Love me from somewhere else. February 26, 2010. I have never partaken of the mystery that is Spam. To be honest, I’m not really sure what it is. I think it’s supposed to be like ham? Anyways, this post has nothing to do with the “edible” spam. Over the last few days I have received direct messages on twitter from people claiming they were 24/female/hopeful (i censored the last word for all of my junior high readers). These people had their accounts phished. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

i don’t wanna be anything other… |
https://rogercoles.wordpress.com/2009/12/13/i-dont-wanna-be-anything-other
The size of a kumquat. I don’t wanna be anything other…. December 13, 2009. Today pastor barry phipps preached a message in which he said, “others judge us by our actions, we judge ourselves by our intentions.” this really got me thinking. I think God is showing me that it’s so important to put Him first, seek His approval and no other. we will never please everyone, and in trying we may lose who we are and who God wants us to be. Feb 03, 2010. This is a pretty profound truth – one that God has bee...

Ouch that feels good. Kids say the darndest things. January 6, 2010. Today i spoke at a chapel for a local Christian school. I expected to speak to 9-12 graders but slowly the younger grades began to trickle in. I’m guessing that the youngest age was around 8 or 9. I brought a message about Jonah and gave the PG rated version of how horrible the Syrian empire treated their captives (refer to previous blog post). 8220;Umm, it’s when someone kills themselves”. Little boy) “There were 4 of them”. Blog at Wo...

The dog that is red. Love me from somewhere else. March 15, 2010. Today I began thinking about the meaningful relationships in my life. For me, these are the people that I feel refreshed and lighter after being around. These people encourage me and help bring out the best version of myself. I love these people. I could spend all day with these kinds of friends. Then there are friends that you enjoy most. Of the time. These are the people you love to be around! 8220;You can barely tell how fat you are!

Can’t Wait For Summer! April 26, 2010. 8212; sandypippin @ 2:45 pm. I can’t wait for summer! Relaxing, going outside, swimming in a pool, and JUMPING FOR JOY! Summer is exciting to all kids. All the learning is going to a “click on pause” for a big break. Now that is an awesome thing to think about. The parents will be excited as well. At least most parents will. Parents get to see their children everyday. Trips are always fun. So now it’s a countdown until those happy days of summer arrive! Celebrating ...

The End of the Beginning? | Barphrippy's Blog
https://barryphipps.wordpress.com/2010/08/14/the-end-of-the-beginning
The mixed-up rantings of Barry Phipps. The End of the Beginning? August 14, 2010 in The Sound Church. I know that this is not the end. Then what is it? Could it be the end of the beginning? How can that be when the beginning of the beginning is right around the corner? Some have asked, Can we still take off our shoes in our launch facility? Have we begun yet? Wead for nine months. How fitting. I have often remarked that we cannot give birth to a new church. The Wead’s basement is maxed out. The life ...

The mixed-up rantings of Barry Phipps. Why I am planting a church. September 9, 2009 in The Sound Church. Why start a new church? God has been preparing my family and me for this moment. 8211; Over 85% of all people who give their lives to Christ will do so in a church, and in conjunction with an invitation from a caring friend. 8211; Gainesville and Haymarket, Virginia have grown so quickly that the numbers of churches are few in relationship to the growing population. There are over 70,000 people w...

Please God! Any Church But That Church! | Barphrippy's Blog

The mixed-up rantings of Barry Phipps. Any Church But That Church! September 17, 2010 in The Sound Church. I remember the days when my angry father stood at the basement doorway as he threw my sister down the flight of stairs. My father drank over a case and a half of beer daily before he had his spiritual encounter. He was close to suicide when he remembered the words of his godly grandmother. Any church but that church! Did I mention I met my wife at that church? And meeting with the Pastor. Our fa...
