Through the Year in my back garden. June 2010 - 1. This month has the greatest number of different plants in flower in every part of the garden and in every colour. I have included more weeds and some grasses as they add colour and variety to the garden if kept under control. Many are very attractive to bees and butterflies being native British wild flowers so I think they have a value in the garden and most can be easily removed before they go to seed. Through the Year in my back garden. July 2010 - 1. This month still has many of the same plants in flower and lots of new flowers are still appearing. Buddleia, Golden Rod, Crocosmia, Marjoram, Sunflowers, Teasels and Lesser Knapweed are great for bees and butterflies. A few pansies managed to survive the freezing temperatures and by the end of January a single primrose was in flower. The first bulbs to appear brought promises of new life and colour to look forward to.

Through the Year in my back garden. Welcome to My Wildlife Garden. My wildlife garden is not a large garden, but it contains a surprising variety of plants and wildlife. Some of the plants were here when we arrived, some I planted, some just appeared and others have been introduced by the wildlife here I must thank the squirrels who buried hazel nuts and walnuts. The pond is a habitat for water loving plants and also attracts a wide variety of wildlife. Updated 16th February 2015.
