Tuesday, 7 October 2014. I had a very good weekend in Derby at the annual Derby World Wargames Show. I and a couple of mates travel to this every year and make a weekend of it stopping over. It was busy again this year with lots through the doors but according to some of the traders I spoke to they're not spending as much as they used to. Anyway my purchases were as follows:. Future War Commander rulebook (second hand copy). Khans of Tarkir Magic The Gathering intro deck and some Conspiracy booster packs.

Freewargamesrules: June 2013
http://freewargamesrules.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, 30 June 2013. Finished some of the 28mm Black Scorpion resin Wild West figures. They are lovely sculpts. Sunday, 9 June 2013. Finished painting some Ground Zero Games New Anglian Conferderation infantry and Antenociti APC's. I like basing the infantry on the Flames of War medium bases for squads and small bases for specialist weapons. I picked up the Dreadball game by Mantic at WMMS a couple of months ago. The set was going cheap as the new version was due out anytime (and is out now).

http://freewargamesrules.blogspot.com/2014/08/freewargamesrules-next-generation.html
Sunday, 17 August 2014. Freewargamesrules - The Next Generation. When I started this site back in 1997 there were very few wargames sites, Google did not exists and there were no blogs where people could share whatever they wanted instantly. BAck in '97 I made it my mission to catalogue and collate all the available free wargames rules on the Internet. I am aware what a valuable resource it is and am unwilling for it to die a slow and painful death. I propose that we have a "wikipedia style" resource of ...

Freewargamesrules: June 2014
http://freewargamesrules.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Friday, 27 June 2014. Back in 1977 when I was 13 a new comic came out called 2000AD and I was a subscriber from issue 1. In issue 2 of the mag Judge Dredd was debuted. For many years the only reason I bought 2000AD was for Judge Dredd. (Sadly I never kept the original comics). I've always wanted to game Dredd and picked up some Heroclix Judges which are OK. I picked up a Justice Dept box cheap at Triples and repainted the heroclix figures so they are the same colours. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
