My Year in Alaska. Saturday, March 9, 2013. My Year(S) in Alaska. Nelson and I arrived in Anchorage on June 21, 2010. A kitty and a girl meeting a boy in the great north. for a year. Or so we thought. We're creeping up to 3 years now. We've had some amazing experiences and made some wonderful friends. My Year in Alaska. Monday, October 31, 2011. I hope everyone is having (or had) a great Halloween! Our favorite local bakery- Fire Island Bakery. Normally isn't open for dinner. However, in celebration of Halloween, they opened this evening and served pizza. We wanted to try their pizza- ahh. How we miss you!
