Four bowls, a mixer and a food processor. Labels: 20 while 40. Saturday, 28 March 2015. I am still bumbling along with my reci...

http://flowers-of-progress.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Life is short, but the day is long". Sunday, 30 August 2015. SPSH No.6: A Metal Bridge. Bridges, bridges, bridges! I had aspirations of posting a single, elegant bridge shot, but after numerous so-so attempts I'm just going to plough on and share the best of what I have. I'm not that sold on any of them! The Golden Jubilee Bridges, also over the Thames, run either side of the Hungerford Rail Bridge. From a distance, as in the third photo, the three appear to be one. All metal, of course! SPSH No.17: ...

http://flowers-of-progress.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Life is short, but the day is long". Monday, 29 June 2015. SPSH No.9: A Tent. Wouldn't you know, the one year my music camp doesn't take place, Rinda. Wants to see a tent! Well, although I've come across a few marquees and gazebos on my travels, in the end I decided to go along to camp anyway - as an audience member, rather than a participant. (I usually do the light opera weekend, whereas this was Guys and Dolls. Which I'd been invited to but wasn't able to attend.). Saturday, 27 June 2015. Swathes of d...

The Flowers of Progress: February 2015
http://flowers-of-progress.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Life is short, but the day is long". Thursday, 26 February 2015. Recipe Sorting: Success and Failure. The recipe sorting continued last week with a couple of hits and a miss. First up was a Japanese salmon dish which I mentioned in a previous post. It worked out fine, so I will choose that as my preferred version, write it up and then pass on the magazine clippings as someone at work has expressed an interest. Nonetheless, delicious and very easy to do. I don't often eat sausages but I can certainly ...

http://flowers-of-progress.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Life is short, but the day is long". Sunday, 31 May 2015. I've taken the liberty of booking an aircraft for tomorrow. If you can get. To Woking station by 11:00 we can have lunch on the Isle of Wight? Every now and again something happens that makes me clap my hands and skip around the kitchen. Like last weekend, when I came in wet and cold from gardening and shopping to find possibly the coolest text message ever on my phone. Not bad eh? By getting us tickets for the filming of Have I Got News For You.

The Flowers of Progress: The Book List
http://flowers-of-progress.blogspot.com/p/the-book-list.html
Life is short, but the day is long". When I decided to create an inventory of all my unread books, I was shocked to discover just how many there are. I do read a lot, but apparently not fast enough! Most of the remainder came into my possession under various strange and, in one case, sad circumstances. They have been lying around a long time and I have a feeling that I might struggle to get through some of them, but hope to uncover some gems. Jad Adams and Phillip Whitehead. When Will There Be Good News?
