Ex-Missionaries Living in Kansas. The Last of It. 160; I wore black Wednesday and yesterday, commemorating the end of a good year for me. It’s 6:30 right now, Chris is still asleep and there’s three inches of snow outside in the dark! 160; I did some yoga stretches and decided I had some last things to say for. 160; There were five of them, two adults and three younglings (Yoda-speech). We also saw them earlier in July flying around catching bugs in mid-air! 160; But he’s cute as all get out.

Ex-Missionaries Living in Kansas. Sidewalks look deceptively normalblack ice. Fingers going numb even in gloves. Deciduous trees are transformed into white pines with clear needles. Twenty-five degrees feels like seventeen degrees. Crisply blue atmosphere oozes from everything. No bird sounds, no wind, just the occasional roar of 18-wheels on the highway. They strutted around, stepping over winter-dead grass blades, constantly dipping their heads down hoping to grab a bug. I’d never before seen more than two robins at a time together.
