My QTH HOA restricts my antenna options to a small magnetic loop antenna so I chose to use one for portable use as well. I built a simple remote tuner using an Arduino Nano, a 5V stepper motor. And flat ethernet cable. The main loop is made of a 10ft RG214 cable. The strange looking tupperware to the left of my X1M in the photos.
