From Alaska to Austria. What started on a river. Sunday, July 17, 2011. Alex's Hiking Trip with Su (while Nate was working at a the EYTAE-Camp) in Styria. We started our hiking trip in a nice valley. The plan was that we would hike for 3 days and stay at cabins on our way. but the weather was not sooo great ;-) (rain, wind, clouds, fog), so our trip lasted for 1,5 days only. From Alaska to Austria. What started on a river. Friday, April 29, 2011. Easter Vacation in North Carolina. A weekend trip with Lynn and JoAnn to Piney Creek. Near Sparta, NC). The rivers nearby were all flooded b/c of severe rainstorms! Not even the "mule" could make it over there! Alex had her first experience with driving a mule (and so did the others ;-). The house we stayed in. It was great and had a wonderful porch! And some yummy snacks! Lynn played the trumpet years ago. and tried a "revival"-.

From Alaska to Austria. What started on a river. Saturday, July 14, 2007. The 2nd wedding.July 2007. Why have one when you can have two? We're heavily leaning on Assling, Alex's mom's home village, to have our celebratory and ceremonial wedding. I've attached some snagged photos off the web for you to see.why we think it's a perfect place to bring family and friends. The church that we'd like to have it "near" outside.was built in the 15th century.it's old. Stay tuned for more pics and info.

From Alaska to Austria. What started on a river. Saturday, January 22, 2011. Skitour in our "backyard". Original Plan: Robert, Nate and Alex on a skitour in Kühtai, which is basically "our backyard". head up the concrete dam to the north side of a mountain and then ski down. Robert promised us sun at the top! The only problem was: When we parked the car, it was -16 degrees Celsius, BUT it felt like -25 because of the wind. So, Plan B:. But nevertheless - it was wonderful! Ouch - that is a BIG scratch!

I got a week off last month and decided to put in the new french doors, windows, insulation, and board and batten at the house in mtn city, tennessee. Dredging the calcasieu river. I worked on a dredge boat in southwest louisiana as a endangered turtle observer it was incredibly boring living offshore for three weeks at a time but it was a good introduction into americas oil economy and extraction. I think when i opened the door the mother chased leo and one of the cubs bluff charged me. when she heard my flipping out she turned back then the other cub charged me on the front porch. This little bear hates benches. This bear hates styrofoam insulation. This little bear hates football-sized yankee candles (autumn toasted-cinnamon swirly surprise). Before coming to colombia i was expecting tropical heat, beaches, sunbathing, skimpy bathsuits and pina coladas. instead when i arrived in bogota the weather was in the 50s and rainy and as i got to the coast it was desert like with cacti and sparse vegetation. Breakfast of deep fried snook (robalo) beans and rice and the ever present, bland salad/garnish and a bowl of sancocho (beef and potato soup).
