Matt and Jill's Zurich Adventures. Saturday, May 17, 2008. After spending the night in Noordwijkerhout, we layed around the beach most of the next day. It was so relaxing. While the water was as cold as ice, we were nice and warm in the sun with a great coastal breeze. We wasted a good part of the day away when we decided it was time to move on. Another look at the bike route into the beach coming from Noordwijkerhout. The beach, again. Did I mention that I loved it? The fields just outside of Noordwijk.

Here we picked up our free bikes with admission and rolled through kilometer after kilometer of open bike trail - all to ourselves. Of course the park is big enough that even later in the day when mostly all of the 1,500 free bicycles were in use, the paths were still not very crowded. The free bike in De Hoge Veluwe National Park. The path winds through a field in De Hoge Veluwe. The beach near Noordwijkerhout.

Certainly not us. But our trip budget was wearing a little thin, so we took along our tent and camped the three nights there. From the web, a shot of the inside of the Caldea Spa. We passed through the Hauptbanhof tonight and saw this sand volleyball court set up with spectator bleachers to watch over the athletes. Then we got our clues and rules and headed off. Here is part of our team "The Diplotards". Troy, Amber and Wes. After about 90 minutes and still not having answered any of the clues we were not having much fun anymore. The clues were very hard! Here is the team again after finding our first clue. Other than wedding details, I see that I have not updated this since my sister’s visit to Paris. So….after Megan left it was time for Troy and I to get ready for pack out. But…there had to be a party first! Our wonderful friends, Amber and Lucia hosted a lovely party for us with a wonderful spread of Mexican food! It was a lot of fun and our friends brought us some nice gifts….
