SPC, EU embarks reforestation project. And we here at Naciriyawa Farm. Play a small part in it. Read about it here. Beautiful Colours on the leaves. The hot, wet weather brought unknown. visitors. Beautiful , shiny multi coloured beetles. They seem to be favouring the Curry leave trees. The curry leave tree. It also has small white flowers.

Mainly because the seeds have been imported from a temperate climate (New Zealand) and ours is a tropical climate. The government of Fiji has now re-introduced a planting. Programme (read about it). And we were lucky to get a bag and half of the seeds. Pegged out an area, jumped on the tractor. Oops, wrong pic! And a good harvest!

But it is also cyclone time and a cyclone could be lurking in those red blotches (clearly visible in the radar map below) and make our lives miserable. My cucumber patch is bursting with fruit at the moment.and a cyclone or prolonged period of rain would destroy the fruits. Mr Google suggested pickling the cucumbers. Some for the chooks.
