Anything that interrupts this train of thought, or slows it down, is distance shaved off from miles it could have traveled at full speed. Caring about my productivity as a developer with all its tweaks and tricks, filewatchers, macros, shortcuts and window resizers, is not about shaving seconds off my work time. Its about maintaining my momentum.

Deadsimple - A static server that turns your Markdown into HTML. Nov 29, 2014. I had a not very bright idea (admittedly) this week to build a server that turns your markdown to html. In the large swaths of static site generators that do this exact thing, and more, mine however lets you put your markdown files in a directory and serves them sandwiching it in a header and a footer. Creating a HTTPS proxy in Node.js. Jun 5, 2014. Recently, I needed to mock a dev box to act as the production environment to do some debugging on a Node.js express web app. The problem was that the calls that are received by the said dev box are all HTTPS, (hence received on port 443) and in the local environment, Node is not configured to run on HTTPS, and not on port 80 or 443. Quick and Dirty solution is to, alter the Node server to start on port 443, after giving a fake HTTPS key and a certificate.
