I rode a sportive, the Exmoor Beauty, in April of this year, it was as far as I have ever ridden [60 miles] and a serious amount of climbing; see here for the Garmin stats. Ketosis – Day 1. Ketosis – Day 3 →. Ketosis – Day 2. January 31, 2014. Ok, so last night after dinner fasting glucose. Pre workout test shoes overnight in ketosis, just! No blood ketone test strips – urine strips and blood glucose [BG]; poor alternative but interesting none the less…. Considering after dinner drunk the best part of 2/3 bottle of red wine quite happy with just slight ketosis; be interesting to see the mornings readings. Fasting blood ketones unsurprisingly showed i was out of nutritional ketosis this morning but luckily only 0.4, blood glucose 4.3. As i was not really hungry i had my version of a bulletproof coffee; cafetiere then filtered coffee drunk with 10 grams of butter and 15 grams of coconut oil. Weekend…full of temptations! 1134 urine – in ketosis. 1500 urine – still in ketosis 1.5. 1736 urine 0.5 holding in there despite 6 mini eggs! Bloody sugar; its soooo addictive! 1947 urine 0.5 – cant believe im still in ketosis [just] after today.dinner, takeaway…Chicken jalfrezi, onion bhaji and sag paneer; just the smallest bit of rice but lets see tomorrow morning! Struggling all week to get ketones up, conclusions:. 1 not enough sleep. 2 not enough water. 3 drinking chain coffee. 4 eating too much cheese. 5 not enough activity. 1 – if I get to bed by 930 and go to sleep then too in the past I appear to loose more fat and have steady ketosis.
