Nags Head Fire and Rescue. Welcome to the Nags Head Fire and Rescue Fire Permit website. Beach pit fires are allowed on the beach in the Town of Nags Head with a permit. Permits are only issued between 5 pm and 9 pm daily based on current wind speed and fire danger conditions. Permits are valid the day of issue only, through midnight, and are valid only within the Town of Nags Head. Permits are issued online via this website, as well as one of two of our Fire Stations.
