The Shuckster: April 2012
http://theshuckster.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 29, 2012. These pieces are a variation on a series of animated installations called. Is taken from a relatively recent discovery by biologists that some tropical moth species drink the tears of sleeping birds. The series plays with how technology can be used to re-animate non-human creature caught in the still-death of photographs, transforming them into ghost-like, man-made approximations of the real thing. And now I am learning that home is something that can be invented. It can pop u...

hot child in the city: February 2009
http://jazzrcise.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Hot child in the city. Wednesday, February 25, 2009. I was looking up some history on the bike that was handed down to me from my mom, found some cool stuff. It's a Miyata 310, and I'm pretty sure it's the 1982 model. Pictured on the bottom is a page from the 82 Miyata catalog, and on the top is a poster designed by Hiroshi Ohchi commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Miyata brand (which would have been in 1962? Anyways, I thought it was a pretty sweet poster. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Notes From C-ville: Bel Rio
http://notesfromcville.blogspot.com/2009/05/bel-rio.html
Food and Drink, Events, Day Trips, Sights, and C-ville Links. Sunday, May 17, 2009. Before going I had a glass of wine and a cheese and bread plate at Mas, not realizing that Bel Rio would have been a good place to do the same thing. Their is a full music schedule and an open U-shaped bar. Bel Rio is another great place to hang out in Belmont. With the outdoor patio, I think Mas. Still has it beat. Some home owners are trying to add their home. To the neighborhood's restaurants. The Local. Hot Springs, VA.

Notes From C-ville: Bang!
http://notesfromcville.blogspot.com/2008/01/bang.html
Food and Drink, Events, Day Trips, Sights, and C-ville Links. Friday, January 18, 2008. Situated on the corner of 2nd Street SW and South Street, the little brick house called Bang! Touts its cocktails. Besides its inner red glow, little else from the outside of this place resembles a restaurant. Having won Artini! Will have found a purpose in the busy downtown restaurant scene. For a completely different dining experience, try South Street Brewery. Next door. For more info about Bang! 213 2nd St SW.

Food and Drink, Events, Day Trips, Sights, and C-ville Links. Monday, October 18, 2010. A thoughtful family member brought these when she came to visit. Two of my favorite Charlottesville foodstuffs are Starr Hill beer. And Shenandoah Joe coffee. I haven't found their perfect replacements yet. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
