A Day in the Life: A Nail Tech's POV. On Monday, February 27, 2012. First casualty: my right-hand thumb. Today is day three for the gel on my right hand. I banged my thumb pretty hard a couple of times during my retail job, and now there's a good chip on the corner of my thumb nail. A Day in the Life: A Nail Tech's POV. On Friday, February 24, 2012. Boss went out and finally got us a starter kit. The LED dryer, a set of colors, base coat, top coat, soak-off pads - you know I had to play with it right away. I've currently got OPI's most popular color on my left-hand nails, "I'm not really a waitress". I find that I like it more than I did before, and with the gel, the subtle shimmer is a lot more visible, where I barely even noticed it in the normal polish. The Life of a Nail Artist.

A Day in the Life: A Nail Tech's POV. I want to change it. On Monday, March 5, 2012. My OPI gel is still going strong with only my right thumb being chipped. But I'm ready for it to come off, only because I just am not fond of this particular color (reminder: "I'm Not Really a Waitress"). I would much rather have Malaga Wine on, or Kyoto Pearl. Maybe this coming Thursday or Friday I can get someone to change the color for me. I've got new growth showing anyway. I want to change it. Nail's and Nail art.
