So far, just focused on learning how to take pics in the dark. Low apertures, very slow shutter speeds, and lots of playing around. I really need to get better at understanding the integration between aperture (depth of field), shutter speed, ISO, and color balancing. Following are some of my first night pics of Calgary downtown! March 31, 2015. March 31, 2015. Pics of Moving Subjects. I wanted to play around with moving subjects to see how to take good quality pics with very low shutter speeds. I chose subjects that can’t sit still for more than a second my kids and their friends! Although these pics look OK it was very tough. I had many blurry. Ones, or ones where there wasnt enough light.
