Technology in the Mathematics Classroom. Saturday, January 31, 2009. I'm a math teacher so why do I need to know how to blog? In regards to parents, while many teachers often have their own websites with assignments and due dates, blogging is a way to keep in touch with the parents to help deal with problems, concerns or questions. I was also in the grade level where we were trained how to use them starting in 9th grade. I do find that I know how to do a lot on the graphing calculator compared to some others. Technology in the Mathematics Classroom. Wednesday, February 18, 2009. Article, students were not comfortable and because of this did not tend to use the graphing calculator to solve certain types of mathematical problems. According to the article, a study was conducted in which students who had longer exposure to graphing calculators showed a wider range of problem solving approaches.
