The patients’ room. Extended activities at Namdroling Monastery. In 2007 between June and December, 2,000 monks and nuns were given the Hepatitis B vaccination. NSDT finances the cost of medication, treatments and hospitalisation if a member of the monastery suffers from a serious disease.

In the UK the Trust is administered by Sue Burchett who went to India in 2004 for 4 months. In Bodh Gaya she met Tulku Loday Sangpo (pictured left) who founded the patients’ room. He asked me if I would help with the financing of the project. I was happy to do so and came back to England and have been fundraising for NSDT ever since.
