In den Städten. Der Grund für diese hohen Temperaturen sind heiße Ostwinde vom Landesinnern. Über dem Hochplateau von Windhoek ist die Luft sehr kalt und sinkt nach unten. In der Namibwüste ist es auch im Winter recht heiß, die Luft steigt also nach oben, wodurch eine Luftzirkulation mit dem Hinterland entsteht und die heisse Namibluft bis an die Küste vordringt.
