Friday, July 24, 2009. July 14, 2009 Tuesday. Then we left for Dune 7 where we had a braai (BBQ) that was so good. We had fun riding quad bikes through the dunes as the sun was setting. One of the ladies we visited was making fat cakes, similar to a doughnut, and offered each of us one. They were fresh, hot and tasted really good. I gave part of mine to a little kid that definitely. Life in Namibia, Africa. Singing and Dancing →. June 7, 2010. Several mornings I walked to the homes of people who were living in very poor conditions. We gave them bags of food staples which included items such as rice, beans, soup, and vegetables that would last them a substantial amount of time. I was volunteering with an organization called Okahandja Samaritan’s Network. That continues to give food supplies to people living with HIV/AIDS. Also we helped with some minor medical needs.
