From the 7-9 of March I took a field trip with my GE202 class to Lutu Village, located in Naitisiri. An account of my semester abroad in Suva, Fiji. January 9, 2012. This is my first post! For those who do not know, “bula” is the standard greeting in Fiji. It is more than just a hello; it also wishes a person good health and happiness. I chose to name my blog “namuamua” because in Fijian it means “where two rivers meet”. I thought that this would be a meaningful name because to me it represents my personal acculturation to Fiji. Deep, right? So, what have I been doing to prepare myself for Fiji?
