Friday, May 21, 2010. Hi family and friends. Hope this finds you all well, and enjoying spring/summer weather and activities! Wanted to let you know about my Dr.'s appt. on Wednesday. We saw Dr. Richardson, and he was very kind and answered our questions well. No chemo for 30days, they are still looking for the right one to fit my needs! They have given me a patch for my pain, but already, has had to be adjust down. We will get that worked out soon. You are thinking of us and keeping us in your prayers!

Thursday, October 22, 2009. October 22, 2009. Hi family and friends! Wanted to let you know how my latest trip to Mayo went. Unfortunetly, wasn't all good news! Tuesday, I went in for the chest scan, and blood work. Wednesday, I went to see the Dr. for the results and have chemo. I have a new shadow, on my right lung, and and on my adrenal gland. I also have a shadow on my lymph node.(same area as before). So, it was recommended we change chemo treatments to a different type,. Not sure how to explain it.

Tuesday, March 9, 2010. Hi family and friends,. Wanted to let you know of my latest 'addition' and how it is working. I did finally get my port, March 1. a little more recovery than. I thought, but after putting it to use for my chemo and blood draw, well. Worth the time,pain and effort! Been feeling pretty good; but it seems when i start feeling the best,. It is time for more chemo. but again, well worth that, as well. :). I hope this finds you all well. The weather is getting to the time.

Friday, September 25, 2009. Wanted to let you know the latest on my recent trip to mayo clinic. I was there on the 23rd, had a chest Xray followed by my chemo treatment. The Dr. is very happy with how my body is reacting, after the first chemo. It appears, that the small tumor that was growing, has gotten smaller. (about 1/4 inch)! I will go back next month, and have a chest scan, and another chemo treatment. We will see how the tumor/tumors look then. So that is the update. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Sunday, April 11, 2010. To my family and friends. Wanted to give you my latest results, from my visit in april 8th. Unfortunately, they weren't results we wanted to hear; however, we are eager to get 'onboard'. With the next treatment. As the tumors are continuing to grow, Dr. Creagan has suggested an oral treatment after a dna test. should happen with-in a week, we hope. Will let you know more, as we learn more about it! Please, continue your prayers, thoughts and great support. Means and helps so much!

Wednesday, July 29, 2009. July 29, 2009. Hi family and friends! Wanted to up-date you with the latest from Mayo and my. Latest treatment. ( i did recieve the first of these treatments on tuesday)! I met with the Dr. on Monday, and he explained the next 'plan of attack'! He has recommended a different chemo treatment, with different drugs, and a little more aggresive. My side-effects will be increased, but, hopefully, not too tough! I will continue, if my body responds well, every 21 days. He is still ver...

After three years of being CANCER FREE, I am FINALLY getting my port out! It feels so good to be able to say that I am over three years cancer free! At my last apt Dr. Grothey mentioned that he thought it was time to get it out. I am no longer using it and so it is time to get it out! While caden, mom, and I went out to get Zoey, Mark and dad worked on the tree house. So, after we went to the pet store to get her things, we headed out to my parents house. It seems to get more fun every year with Caden. He really enjoyed opening the presents (his own and everyone elses) this year. We started the Christmas week by making homemade Christmas Cookies! They were so good! Caden was so excited to help decorate the cookies! Opening 1 present early. The food was excellent, but the company was 1,000 times better!

I don't need a cookie.I can eat the frosting right off the spoon! He got to pick them out, and after going to two different stores, we finally found his size! They had a great day at school!
