Nana's Needle Nook: April 2011
http://nanasneedlenook.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Future visions and frustrations of a fairly fickle fibre artist. Sunday, April 17, 2011. Xavier in part. . .s. Xavier has developmental issues. I am one week away from the final class and there are many things that still need to be done before he can walk, talk and do the basics. And that doesn’t include having clothes. There is still plenty to do before next Saturday, last class. And at the last class we will string Xavier and make him walk. . . . ."It's Alive! Dr Frankenstein I am not. but I can try.
Nana's Needle Nook: October 2013

Future visions and frustrations of a fairly fickle fibre artist. Thursday, October 3, 2013. Oh Dear, has it really been since Easter that I have written in this blog? For shame on me. That just means I get to do double time on it now. So I did it again. I bought an item on auction. A leather valise, I wanted to use it for my Steampunk costume. When it arrived I unpacked it and realized it needed some TLC. Put it in the corner till I could get to it. That was about 6 months ago. It is only 4inch. Here we ...

Future visions and frustrations of a fairly fickle fibre artist. Saturday, May 21, 2011. Here's looking at you Kid. Made from, vintage Ping Pong paddle with suede surface, two chipped and dull magnifying lenses, 2 gold bracelets from Claires, Gold and Brown Fimo polymer clay. Still need to drill holes for the lenses so you can "Look Through" the eyes of the owl. Glue on the eyes and brows. Wood Burn feathers into the suede. AND the other side needs to be completed. What would I use them for? And the bigg...
Nana's Needle Nook: January 2011

Future visions and frustrations of a fairly fickle fibre artist. Monday, January 31, 2011. Each age of childhood has it's favorite toy. I'm not talking about the most popular, but rather to each child there is a favorite toy. 7 year old Mary loved Sixfinger. The secret agent craze (cold war) was in full swing in 1965 and microfilm was just beginning to find it's way into the everyday conversations. Miniature cameras, codes, hidden phones in SHOES of all places. As an adult I think my favorite toy would b...

Future visions and frustrations of a fairly fickle fibre artist. Wednesday, April 3, 2013. A day full of color, sunshine, smiles and youthful excitement. Joy was helping me yesterday clean up from the Easter festivities. She loves to sing. And does it all the time. She makes up songs or sings real songs. And it always amazes me how quickly she picks up a song and sings ON KEY and LOUD! Quarius" like in the song. . ."when the moon is in the 7th house". oh oh oh. that is Aquarius! Click on the picture.

During the summertime, my aunt Liz made ambrosia salad whenever they’d barbecue in the backyard. It was a hit, because it was sweet and refreshing even Nana liked it! Nana didn’t use condiments, no ketchup on her burger; no mustard or relish either. And, God-forbid you offered her mayonnaise! 1 cup grated coconut.

Nana's Needles
Two women trying to keep the family tradition of creating masterpieces using yarn and a couple of sticks alive, while hopefully making the four generations of women that knitted before them proud. Tuesday, September 25, 2012. Well, It's been a week 2 days since I began "spinning." Progress has been slow, but steady - when I've had the time to spin. I think I like it, but since learning to spin is a bucket list activity, I'm not sure that I will master it in the time I have left. Hop to 2012 and this mont...

NANAS PARA DORMIR AL DIABLO
NANAS PARA DORMIR AL DIABLO. Miércoles, 4 de abril de 2018. GENTE ROTA. (FRAGMENTO).
