Life in the Empty Nest. Tuesday, September 18, 2012. The Happiest Place on Earth! I think one of the reasons the grand kids were so excited for us to get home from our mission was the fact that they knew we were taking them all to Disneyland when we got home! We had a great time.Lexie even brought baby Kael, who was less than a month old! She got some pretty crusty looks from a few people, but the baby was such an angel and we would have been so sad if Lexie couldn't have been with us! It was all magical!

Life in the Empty Nest. Wednesday, August 22, 2012. A few days after we got home, we took our parents to Iowa with us to see Mitch graduate from Dental School. We were so proud of him and his achievements! It's pretty hard to think of our little boy as a doctor, but he has earned the title! Quite an honor for him. Can you tell that his mom and dad are proud? I won't deny it.we are beyond proud of him! We're so proud of all of our college graduate children since neither one of us has a college degree!

Doug and I were enjoying a great day at the beach when I noticed this "Greek God" in a THONG talking to Teddy Bears. For 2 1/2 hours Doug and I were entertained by this "Greek God" he went from feeding the bears water to jumping surf with them. He graced us with a workout that was fit for a "Greek God" he treaded water, got a boulder out of the bushes and ran in the sand like no other! He put margaret to shame working out!
