THE WORLD IS MINE: BLUE HILL, STILL SILVER LAKE, BROAD FIELD, BRIGHT FLOWER… – Edna St. Vincent Millay. If you are quiet enough, you will hear the flow of the Universe. - Buddha. Christmas Trees: Not Just For Putting Gifts Under. It’s hard to imagine that Christmas is upon us again — the the months seem to melt away! I overheard a conversation this morning in which one of the participants said something to the effect that they “hadn’t bothered” to put up a tree this year. How odd, I thought. Most 19th-ce...

North Dakota Garden: July 2008
http://chrisnd.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 31, 2008. What do you get when you have:. I went out in the garden and discovered little yellow eggs on a dill plant. After returning indoors I felt something crawling on my arm.it was the above creature. Upon returning outside I spotted many sets of ladybug eggs and more than 50 nymphs all over the dill. (Click the photo and you can count a few.). I must be getting more aware of what is in the garden, because I cannot recall seeing the running of the nymphs in the past. Links to this post.
North Dakota Garden: June 2008

Sunday, June 29, 2008. Sunday Safari - Including Dragonflies. I'm doing a Sunday Safari again in an effort to find what insects visit my garden. Last week. I joined Cheryl at My Wildlife Sanctuary. And Sherry at Q's Corner. In a safari. We've had some nice rain lately, but today is calm and could do a walk about. Above isn't the promised dragonflies, but a blue damselfly - there are a number flying around. I was surprised by this dragonfly as I was picking peas.just resting with wet wings from rains.
North Dakota Garden: March 2008
http://chrisnd.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 30, 2008. I'm getting anxious to put some early plants in the ground but it's just too soon. Witness my temperature taking device. Poke it in the ground and see how far the frost is. Although in the AM before the sun warms the ground the stick doesn't stick. Just as well, it's not scientific and I don't think it works. I have a link on the sidebar to a Victory Seeds Company page. So what's the bottom line? Links to this post. Friday, March 28, 2008. I am experiencing some déjà vu today.

New York, Plants and Other Stuff. Thursday, September 9, 2010. Planted Cloud is Live! Allow me to introduce my new blogging home: Planted Cloud. Though I had promised earlier to name my new blog, DC, Plants and Other Stuff, I've decided to blog on a more global scale. I've been too lucky to travel so much to simply blog about one city's horticultural offerings. I'm also looking for contributors to post on a monthly level - if you are interested, please email me. Grace Made Evident: My new artsy collage
http://gracemadeevident.blogspot.com/2010/02/my-new-artsy-collage.html
My new artsy collage. After playing with them, I decided to use a sepia tone, which would work well with the black frames, off-white mattes, and the colors in our bedding. Only two of these pictures are ones that I've previously blogged about (I included links to the originals below the respective pics), and two of them are new to Grace Made Evident. So, here they are . . . Pyramid Point view of Lake Michigan. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Curling Birch bark in the woods of Northern Michigan.
Grace Made Evident: So long summer!
http://gracemadeevident.blogspot.com/2013/08/so-long-summer.html
While Shakespeare may have said, "And summer's lease hath all too short a date." I'm just going to have to disagree with the impassioned bard. And here's why I'm looking forward to cooler weather. These grow GINORMOUS in size. But, I will miss seeing more of these guys out my kitchen window. This one posed perfectly for me on our gardenia bush. Still, I say, bring on the cooler weather! The Greenhouse in Tyra's Garden: A Small Evaluation
http://tyras-greenhouse.blogspot.com/2008/10/small-evaluation.html
Is about growing matters, focusing on my greenhouse and potager. I grow mainly vegetables, herbs and spices but flowers have their given place too. From seed to table, this is the nursery for my living food, we cook a lot of delicious food and I say a potager is the cook’s best friend. Makes it possible to grow essential, colourful, warmth loving fruit and vegetables even in this climate such as tomatoes and chillies. My main blog is Tyras Trädgård/Tyra's Garden.
