Wednesday, March 5, 2014. The Long Goodbye.Mama. I wasn't sure I was going to continue blogging and I'm still not sure sure, but I'm half sure so here we go. Death is a curious thing. I've experienced it with my parents in two ways. Daddy died suddenly and mama died slowly. Which is better/worse? I don't know what everyone else thinks, but over the last few years, I have come to believe that as shocking as sudden death may be, watching a loved one slowly slip away is torture. And this is the way she lived.

Mama was completely unresponsive all those days as we sat with her or in her living room. We talked, reminisced about our family life. Monday, December 15, 2014. Oh what fun it is. Since we have been empty nesters, the Superhero and I have had fun taking our own pictures and putting them on Christmas cards. What's New With the Whites. A glimpse into our Grady-obsessed lives :). Wednesday, December 30, 2009. Tomorrow morning we are leaving for Tampa to go visit Mikey's sister, Jenine and her husband, Phil. We will ring in the new year with them! I don't think I've seen midnight since this summer, so who knows if I will actually be awake! I would have been a mean mommy and taken a picture, but I did not have my camera. Of course if Grady can find a way to use something the wrong way, he will! I am wiped out!

This Thanksgiving, we loaded up the car and headed to Memphis to see Brian, Robin and the new baby girls. Dad and Charlotte were there as well. I was. God is gracious not to let us see our years in advance. How could we stand knowing so many sad things would happen and many overlap.
