http://nancymartini.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 23, 2011. South Miami Manatee Fest Supports Local Artist. Friday night I went to the kick off party for the South Miami Manatee Fest headed by Heather Bettner from Prince Media Development hosted at the 1st National Bank of South Miami. The manatees were seven feet tall and all painted by different local artist fashioned after the Chicago Cow Parade that was so successful in 1999. Many cities like South Miami have replicated the cow art outreach with every imaginable animal. Lastly, I always ...

Monday, December 2, 2013. The Accidental Beast - ARTcycle and bicycle safety. This year's ARTcycle entry in conjunction with Art Basel Miami was inspired by my personal horror of seeing my thirteen year old son get hit by a car on his bike. Thankfully, he survived with bruises and scrapes which kept him out of school for two days. It could have been so much worse. Please join me to view "The Accidental Beast" at the opening reception December 5th 7pm to 10pm at FLOR Miami - 127 NE 40th Street, Miami alon...

One guy's DIY, budget friendly, upcycle/recycle, design and improvement ideas for a one bedroom apartment in Brooklyn. Dec 27, 2009. Holy crap, the first post! Hello and welcome to the first Square Foot Crunch post. This blog will serve primarily as an archive for various home design and project ideas for my one bedroom apartment in Brooklyn, New York. I bought the apartment in May 2006, and it needed some TLC. But it has a great layout and a spectacular view. Shoji screen light fixtures. I'd be grateful...

One guy's DIY, budget friendly, upcycle/recycle, design and improvement ideas for a one bedroom apartment in Brooklyn. Jan 3, 2010. The majority of the kitchen renovation was done about 2 and a half years ago. I did the demolition myself, which was a thrilling, frightening, fun, and most of all, loud experience. I had no idea if neighbors might blow my cover. Lucky I have uber-cool, tolerant neighbors. Here are some shots of the demo in progress:. The only tools I used to demo the kitchen. Crazy, eh?

Get Your Frog On!: One person's trash is another person's art - literally.

Monday, November 22, 2010. One person's trash is another person's art - literally. In one of my recent strolls through the world wide web of visual delights most graciously provided by a world of artists I happened on the work of Nancy Martini, Eco Artist. Now, when you combine art eco friendly, it's most certainly an A in my book. I particularly admired this piece . From the Collection: Lessons from the Dinner Table. In Nancy's words from an interview on her blog. Namaste', y'all . Play it again, Sam .

One guy's DIY, budget friendly, upcycle/recycle, design and improvement ideas for a one bedroom apartment in Brooklyn. Feb 22, 2012. So, I had these closet doors in my bedroom. The doors were very plain. One of them was slightly warped. The right-side door had completely come off the track and wouldn't stay on, despite my best efforts. I had seen a ton of these doors in the garbage area of my building. I was determined to divert mine from the waste stream. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Talia, She Wrote.

One guy's DIY, budget friendly, upcycle/recycle, design and improvement ideas for a one bedroom apartment in Brooklyn. Jan 1, 2012. Back in September, I organized a clothing drive for my building. Setting it up was no small feat! First, I had to find an organization that would pick up the clothes once collected. After consulting some neighbors, I narrowed it down to either Wearable Collections. Which is NYC's official clothing reuse program, in partnership with Housing Works. The Bin, filled to capacity:.

One guy's DIY, budget friendly, upcycle/recycle, design and improvement ideas for a one bedroom apartment in Brooklyn. May 2, 2010. Like the kitchen, the bathroom in the apartment hadn't been touched since the day it was built in 1968. Unlike the kitchen, which desperately needed a complete overhaul, the bathroom was at least functional, but aesthetically challenged. So this project was a bathroom makeover, not a renovation, because only the sink, vanity, and light fixture were replaced. Talia, She Wrote.
