Monday, August 30, 2010. It has been four weeks today that the surgery happened. I am encouraged today. Last night I got myself in and out of bed by myself. I am walking way more than I was, got my own breakfast, almost got myself all dressed. The leg is stronger but still not doing what I want it to. Wednesday, October 20, 2010. Nothing too much new. Well, it dawned on me today that I hadn't updated my blog so I thought I would take the time to do that. There isn't really too much new. This Monday it will be exactly six weeks since the 2nd surgery and exactly 12 weeks from the first. Friday, July 30, 2010. Great Day and Great News. After a week of ups and downs, today I woke with a bright spirit and hope about the upcoming surgery. Thank you Lord. Also just heard from the hospital and I am scheduled to be the first surgery this coming Monday. We will head to NYC this Sunday morning, Lord willing, and then we are to be at the hospital at 6:00AM. The surgery is scheduled for 8:00AM and the surgeon is anticipating a two hour operation. This morning was the fourth morning I made it to the Y, thanks to Dave, Beth, Mom who drove and Keith (who managed to secure some water-proof plastic adhesive bandages to cover my incision.).
