ABOUT
http://www.nancymurty.com/about.html
I have always had a fascination with how we see the world; specifically how our minds are able to translate a combination of multiple colors on a surface into one singular color while completing complex images with only partial information or basic structure. I am starting to explore these properties in my work, encouraging the viewer to participate in the completion of the image.

I'm always curious about other artist's studios and thought you might be curious about mine. Here are a few pictures of the studio all cleaned up before a First Friday event. I love being in the studio, spending most days here. Stop by and say hello if you are in the Rochester area! This is the view as you walk into the studio, all cleaned up for one of the monthly First Friday Open Studio event. A view of the little corner as you head out the door of the studio. Thanks for stopping by.

ABOUT
http://www.nancymurtydesigns.com/about.html
Nancy Murty is an exceptional artist working primarily in oils and pastels. Finding inspiration in the natural world, her works often feature birds and other wildlife, as well as the play of light, shadow, and color across the American landscape. All though realistic in nature, elements of abstraction and the Impressionists can also be seen in her work. The amalgamation of Nancy Murty’s experiences, training, and insight, bring a unique credibility to her work.
