I even remarked to John that I hoped there was no bright spark that would *invent* another treatment before I was done, cause I'd probably end up having to get it! Sunday, July 31, 2011. Emily still isn't feeling well, is nauseated with no appetite and has a fair amount of pain. Add to that, being stuck in a hospital room and she is feeling a little blue. I'm bringing back to the hospital, a bunch of her own "stuff" that will hopefully cheer her up a little. Please pray that the medicines continue to work, and that she can go home as early as possible! Friday, July 29, 2011. Three of my 5 are in a musical in just over a week, and that seems to be taking so much time- rehersals, costumes etc etc. Can't wait to be a part of it this year instead of just watching like last year. Tuesday, August 30, 2011. Today was another small party when the nurse got the IV in with just one stick. Such a relief each time she does that! Just ONE more blood draw and ONE more IV. Feeling like I can make it. The next step is the consult with the radiation oncologist on Friday. I've seen the inside of every other cancer treating office, why not go on over there too. Sunday, November 16, 2008. To update my family. We woke up this morning to a much stronger smell of smoke. The girls are complaining of headaches. After turning on the TV this morning, the fire has spread toward Chino Hills and Diamond Bar. This is still miles away from us to the north east, but close enough that I am glued to the television set. Air quality is very bad. We are trying to stay in and keep the doors/windows closed. Thursday, December 24, 2009. Best Christmas Present Ever! The best Christmas present for me was being able to see Ellie and Claire perform in the Christmas show at church. This was the first year they both had speaking roles, right out in front! I didn't attend very many rehearsals this year, so boy was I surprised to see the show.
