Friday, May 29, 2009. They told me to come in, and Dr. L., the fellow (from Singapore) saw me almost immediately. He said it wasn't uncommon and wasn't dangerous, but given my history of infection, should be treated immediately. He put in two neat new stitches, covered me with antibiotic ointment and a large dressing, and added oral antibiotics (Cephalex again, 500mg 3x daily). No showers, no t-shirts for a few days. Monday, June 1, 2009. No t-shirt is no big deal, but no shower for 3 days is a major hardship for me. Luckily, I found at my local drugstore something called AquaGuard. I changed the dressing yesterday, added antibiotic ointment and a sterile Vaseline gauze pad (both of which were given to me on Friday at the hospital).
