Who Am I? | NancysTravels
https://nancystravels.wordpress.com/who-am-i
Follow my travels, cooking, running and adventures. I’ve recently undergone a drastic change in my life…after 25 years as an air traffic controller I retired at the end of July. I’m still figuring out what I want to be after all those years of working for someone else. Just a few examples of the fun I’ve had around the world. When I’m not traveling I’ll be at home in my kitchen. First off, I’m going to start cooking my way through those cookbooks! 8212;———. 16 responses to “ Who Am I? Joseph @ Blog Tweaks.

Follow my travels, cooking, running and adventures. Paris’ Marchés aux Puces are fairly well known. They’re somewhat of an institution and can be an entertaining way to spend an hour (or more) off the beaten tourist path. It was a cold, damp Sunday when I headed to Porte de Vanves. The rain didn’t seem to dampen the spirited exchange of the dealers. There is a nice, relaxed vibe at this market. La piece de resistance! I was looking for a quintessentially French souvenir and found it! It’s a bit chi...
Paris In The Snow | NancysTravels

Follow my travels, cooking, running and adventures. Laquo; Fromage Fort. Cooking Class In Paris. Paris In The Snow. On March 12, 2013. It’s snowing in Paris. Not just a little dusting that will be gone before it lands, but real, accumulating snowfall. It’s a slushy mess on the roads. I haven’t seen a single plow truck (or anything approximating such a vehicle), or even a shovel. The Metro is more crowded than usual and the streets are less so. Tags: does it snow in paris. Follow my travels, cooking, running and adventures. Laquo; Paris Puces. Paris In The Snow. On March 9, 2013. I revisited one of my favorite food items today…fromage fort. I have concocted this in the past, but have let it sort of fall by the wayside in recent years. But I bought a (relatively) small amount to bring home and enjoy with some baguette. Being the cheese freak that I am, this is just heaven on a baguette. Every fromage fort is different. This one had quite a bite to it. 2 cloves garlic, peeled.

TravelZIN: Plitvice Lakes, Croatia

Plitvice Lakes, Croatia. This is the Plitvice Lakes in Croatia. Well-known and famously known for its beautiful turquoise coloured lakes and invigorating waterfalls. To see a beautiful national park that consists of a series of 16 beautiful lakes, caves and waterfalls, one has to take the first step. The steps after you drove there by car, are rather steep. The first overhead bridge is totally made of wood. And that sets the beginning of preparing you to lots of walking on wooden footpaths. In a few minu...

Follow my travels, cooking, running and adventures. Cooking Class In Paris. Much of this Paris sojourn is centered around food. On all of my walks around the city I’m consumed by the sights, sounds and smells of the food around me. As well as eating, I wanted to learn more about preparation while I’m here. Taking a cooking class in Paris is the absolute best way to accomplish this. Offers many different types of classes and tours. Their poultry technical class was just what I was looking for. It’s ...

Friday, February 27, 2009. A Taste of Sicily. How could that be? We did actually have travelling companions on this trip, Mike’s chaplain boss from Heidelberg and his wife – Jerry and Cynthia Jones. So if at any point you start thinking that maybe I’m just making things up to cover for myself you can come back to this blog in a few days and see if there are any protests in the comment section at the end. The tension emptied out of our car with one giant swoosh, like air out of a balloon. Unbelievable!
