An Exceptional Day 2002. Fish and Fringes 1985-2000. Different Family Portraits 1987. Jeg har det med at gemme gamle ting, tænker jeg kan få brug for dem senere i mine opstillinger. Om sommeren morer jeg med at lave en ny serie, helst hvert år. Jeg pålægger mig ofte en slags dogme , som her, at baggrunden skal være den samme på alle billederne og at billedelementerne gerne må gentages på flere af opstillingerne.

An Exceptional Day 2002. Fish and Fringes 1985-2000. Different Family Portraits 1987. On an assignment in a house undergoing renovation, I captured these almost abstract images of the plastic covers drenched in spilled paint and plaster, creating backlit patterns through the translucent plastic.

An Exceptional Day 2002. Fish and Fringes 1985-2000. Different Family Portraits 1987. This is a series of photographs from Tuborg`s old brewery in Hellerup, taken just before a major renovation was to begin in january 2006. The brewery had been left unused for over ten years. Pigeons and graffiti-painters had been through the building, each in their own way creating a special atmosphere, which in combination with the elegance of the building s interior, made it almost magical.

An Exceptional Day 2002. Fish and Fringes 1985-2000. Different Family Portraits 1987. This series was created in 1987 with childhood, family and identity as dominating themes. The images illustrate life in the 1930s and 1940 in my family. They combine fragments of old family letters with family photos, placed in nostalgic surroundings filled with pain, sorrow and longing.
