We attended a rare social gathering last Saturday, which was fun, but of course mingling with the masses comes at a cost: Mason picked up a cold (not the flu, we think). So we have been hunkered down in the house for the past few days. It's not all bad. There's been lots of reading, writing, cooking and even some drawing. (I'm trying out a new winter hobby.). You're looking at the new sliding glass door, downstairs, hooked up the the pulley system Mason built that nearly killed us both as we hauled it upstairs. The new wall on the north end of the cabin only highlighted how terrible the south wall was, so summons the crowbar! But first, how do two reasonably strong people get a 180-pound, 6-foot-wide door up to a loft in a cabin? Mason to the rescue! Yes, that's a big hole in the side of our house (bedroom).

Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Butterflies on my butterfly weed, with the site of the future bunkhouse in the left rear. As of Monday, I became a free woman again, and Mason couldn't be happier! Noooo, I didn't toss my man out! I stopped working at the garden nursery for the summer, when the gardening business is much slower and the brutal heat on a asphalt lot is hard on an aging woman.
